Biography
Dr. Deleyrolle leads a brain cancer stem cell research group and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Florida. He is also an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Department of Neuroscience and member of the Cancer Center at the University of Florida. Dr. Deleyrolle received a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Grenoble, France in 2001. He completed his Ph.D. in 2006 at the Institute for Neuroscience of the University of Montpellier in France. His work focused on investigating the molecular master regulators of spinal cord neural stem cell differentiation. Dr. Deleyrolle then completed post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Queensland, Australia and the McKnight Brain Institute of the University of Florida where he focused on developing and enabling innovative technologies to identify and measure stem cell and cancer stem cell activities. In 2016, Dr. Deleyrolle joined the Preston A. Wells, Jr. Center for Brain Tumor Therapy at the University of Florida as a principal investigator and his work focuses on: i) investigating the metabolic heterogeneity in brain tumors, ii) developing and assessing the effect of experimental metabolic strategies to treat brain cancer, iii) investigating and exploiting the metabolic communications in the tumor microenvironment, iv) metabolic engineering of T cells to improve immunotherapy, and v) evaluating the immunogenicity of slow-cycling tumor cell RNA in the context of anti-cancer immunotherapies.
